Tencent Charity Foundation — “Together for Good!” Charity Programme

This year, Po Leung Kuk continued its collaboration with Tencent Charity Foundation for the “Together for Good!” Charity Programme, providing diverse activities for underprivileged young people, as well as children and women from low-income families. The programme aims to help them relieve stress, pursue their dreams, and cultivate a spirit of philanthropy. In particular, the Parent-Child Baking Class enabled participating students and their families to enjoy the fun of baking. Through this school-based activity, students expressed their gratitude to their parents with handmade cakes, promoting the value of filial piety. Meanwhile, young people developed new skills and boosted their self-worth through workshops on street dance, bands, emerging sports and dart-throwing. They showcased their progress to the public at the “Make Youth Shine Youth Festival”. Since its implementation, over 6,200 people have benefited from the programme. In 2024, Po Leung Kuk was once again invited to participate in Tencent’s “Giving for Good” campaign in Hong Kong, becoming one of the beneficiary organisations of the matching donation scheme. Through various online and offline channels, the public is encouraged to donate to the Kuk’s charity projects.
