The project of I CAN FLY is an On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services launched by Po Leung Kuk with the subvention of the Social Welfare Department. 4 teams of I-can-fly was first introduced in a pilot scheme mode in December 2015. While the service was regularized and expanded into 6 teams in October 2018. The project of I-can-fly aims at providing necessary training for the child aged between 2-6 with mild disabilities in the prime training period. 

 

Natures

For children with special needs:

  • On-site individual/ group rehabilitation training; and training at centres equipped with rehabilitation facilities.

For teachers/ child care workers:

  • On-site professional consultation services and demonstration, talks/ workshops/ seminars, etc.

For parents/ carers:

  • Talks/ workshops/ seminars.

  • Our teams provide outreaching service to the participating KGs or KG-cum-CCCs. Our multi-disciplinary service team comprised of social workers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, educational psychologists, clinical psychologists and special child care workers. We strive to provide a wide spectrum of child care services to meet the child’s rehabilitation needs.
  • Opening Hours
    • Monday To Saturdays : 9AM to 6PM
    • Sundays and Public Holidays : Closed

  • Children with mild disabilities aged below 6 attending the participating KGs or KG-cum-CCCs, and on the waiting list of Social Welfare Department (SWD)’s central referral system are given priority.
  • Teachers/ child care workers and parents/caregivers of children.
  • Kindergartens/Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centres Served by NGOs

  1. Referrals can be made by social workers or staff of rehabilitation service units to the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services of the SWD.
  2. Termination of Service
  • Voluntary withdrawal from service
  • Age of 6 and above on the 1st of September
  • Admission to the primary school
  • No longer attending connected KGs/ KG-cum-CCC
  • Admission to other CRSRehab services
  • No service needs as assessed by OPRS team
