Organization Overview:
Po Leung Kuk is a well-established charitable organization in Hong Kong and has been serving the local community for 147 years. The Kuk provides multifaceted and quality social, educational, youth, recreational, cultural services and medical and integrated health services to all ages in the community through its over 300 service units. It attends to more than 2,700,000 visits for services per year in the past 3 years with about 45,000 students of its affiliated schools. We are now inviting high caliber candidates to apply for the position below.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Ref no.: DCEO1)
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the CEO and the Board of Directors;
- Assist CEO in formulating and implementing organizational strategies, policies or plans for long-term and sustainable growth;
- Ensure Po Leung Kuk’s governance and administration are of high integrity;
- Enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the Kuk’s services in the area of Social Services, Fund-raising & corporate development, Information Technology, Central Administration and Po Leung Kuk Museum;
- Directly supervise and provide support to the department heads of the above areas;
- Optimize the resources allocation, and ensure full compliance with related statutory regulations;
- Liaise with key stakeholders, the Board, and senior management. Represent the CEO in external partnerships and strategic forums, as needed;
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as and when required.
Our Requirements:
The appointee should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognized university degree or above with minimum 10 years at senior management post in a complex and sizable organization;
- Familiar with operations of non-governmental organization/public sector;
- Strong execution skills and broad outlook, dynamic with high personal and professional integrity;
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Positive, proactive and meticulous;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
