Organization Overview:

Po Leung Kuk is a well-established charitable organization in Hong Kong and has been serving the local community for 147 years.  The Kuk provides multifaceted and quality social, educational, youth, recreational, cultural services and medical and integrated health services to all ages in the community through its over 300 service units.  It attends to more than 2,700,000 visits for services per year in the past 3 years with about 45,000 students of its affiliated schools.  We are now inviting high caliber candidates to apply for the position below.

Head of Information Technology (Ref no.: IT-HIT)

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to the top management and Board of Directors;
• Develop long-term strategic IT system development plan with senior management and stakeholders in order to support the growth of the Kuk with enhanced productivity and high level of system security;
• Lead IT department to establish, strengthen and sustain a network operations center, a secure company-wide IT infrastructure platform and to develop enterprise business application solutions as required;
• Identify and exploit the enterprise's knowledge resources, drive the analysis and re-engineering of existing business processes, develop the capability to incorporate the latest information management techniques and technology;
• Collaborate closely with user departments to plan and execute projects and adoptions of IT across all service units;
• Govern the department’s service delivery adhere to the accredited IT Service Management Practice, Project Management Process, SDLC and Information System Security Management Standards;
• Promote and setup policy, practice and support for the organization to observe ISO/IEC27001 information risk and security management standards and obtain compliance;
• Develop disaster recovery plan and provide contingency planning support from a Cybersecurity perspective;
• Keep abreast of the technology movement and facilitate best IT practices in the Kuk;
• Assess all information system and technology related projects, suppliers, product & service purchase and recommend appropriate management process, strategy, solution and resources; and
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as and when required.

Our Requirements:

The appointee should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• Master or Bachelor of Science in Information engineering/Computer Science or related disciplines from a reputable University;
• Holder of CISM/CISSP, CISA, PMP/PRINCE2 preferred;
• 15-20 years of sizable Enterprise IT management & service delivery experience, with 7+ years as department, operation or administration head;
• Resourceful and possess leadership capabilities, sharp organizational skill, business acumen, strategic perspectives as well as enthusiasm in exploiting innovative technology;
• Broad technical knowledge and implementation experience on the following top ten technology priorities: big data analytics and business intelligence, mobile technologies, cloud computing, collaboration technologies, legacy modernization, IT management, customer relationship management, virtualization, security, and enterprise resource planning;
• Effective communicator with all levels of people, both internal counterparts and external vendors; and
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
