School Social Work Services (Secondary)

School Social Work serves a preventive, developmental, supportive and remedial function. Our target groups are students, parents and staff of our serving schools.

Purpose and Objectives of School Social Work Service

• Help students develop their potential to the fullest, achieve healthy personal growth, attain adequate and proper school education, establish harmonious human relationships and elicit their concern for the community
• Help students with their personal development, adaptation, family and interpersonal relationships or schooling problems
• Enhance students’ mental health and stress resilience
• Strengthen the linkage among students, families, schools and the community

Nature of Services:

• Individual counselling, consultation and referral services
• Activity groups and programmes
• Co-ordination and mobilization of external community resources
