Po Leung Kuk is a well-established charitable organization in Hong Kong and has been serving the local community for 147 years.  The Kuk provides multifaceted and quality social, educational, youth, recreational, cultural services and medical and integrated health services to all ages in the community through its over 300 service units.  It attends to more than 2,700,000 visits for services per year in the past 3 years with about 45,000 students of its affiliated schools.  We are now inviting high caliber candidates to apply for the position below.

Head of Fundraising (Ref: H-FR)

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Chief of Corporate Development, Fundraising & PR while working with the Board of Directors, CEO, DCEO to formulate sustainable fund-raising strategy of the organization to meet the organization's goals;
• Lead the fundraising team to plan and execute fundraising programs, and to foster a collaborative and result-oriented culture;
• Work closely with the Corporate Communications and PR Department to develop and implement brand-building strategies that strengthen the organization’s identity, engage the community, and enhance public awareness;
• Build connections with potential donors while nurturing strong & long-term relationships with existing patrons;
• Identify and pursue diverse funding sources while fostering partnerships with corporations, government agencies, and individual contributors;
• Manage donor databases effectively, monitor contributions, and evaluate the performance of fundraising initiatives;
• Ensure full compliance with Hong Kong fundraising regulations, including the Charities Ordinance and Social Welfare Department guidelines;
• Collaborate with department heads to develop compelling grant proposals and secure funding from granting bodies; and
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as and when required.

Our Requirements:

The appointee should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• Degree holder with at least 10 years' relevant experience of which at least 3 years in a leadership role;
• Experience in NGO is highly preferred but not essential;
• Strong fundraising and event management skills with prior experience in managing relevant projects independently;
• Creative, proactive, resourceful, and able to negotiate with different stakeholders in an effective manner; and
• Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and English.
