Education Affairs Department

The Education Affairs Department supports, coordinates and monitors the Kuk’s various affiliated educational units to ensure quality education is provided to nurture the young and resources are effectively utilized. It also offers support to our schools to develop their school-based strengths. Our affiliated schools altogether employ over 4,300 teaching staff and have a student population of about 43,000.

Responsibility

  • To assist the School Management Committee to ensure that all affiliated schools are operating in accordance with the Hong Kong statute law of Chapter 279: “Education Ordinance” and the “Code of Aid” – through:

(a) monitoring and supporting the affiliated schools

(b) implementing education policies

(c) developing and establishing new schools

(d) improving the quality of education

  • To coordinate joint-schools, districts and world competitions and activities
  • To liaise with relevant government departments and other school sponsoring  organizations
