About the Programme
Objectives of the Programme

To let the residential children to have the love and concern from the people in the community.

To solicit support from members of public on the work of Po Leung Kuk.

To promote the message of "Harmonious Family".

To generate financial support to provide and enhance services for families and children.
The Kuk takes care of children with family problems. Those who require residential care would be arranged to live in either the living units at the Kuk’s Headquarters or Small Group Homes in public housing estates. Every living unit is called a House. Each House is like a family, in which children are like “brothers” and “sisters” who help one another, and there are “parents” to take care of their needs. The Kuk now has over 20 Houses under its residential child care services, with 12 to 18 children each in the Houses at Headquarter, or 8 children per Small Group Home.
Child Sponsorship
Sponsor is allocated with specific child(ren) and visit to the child(ren) can be arranged.
House Sponsorship
This type of Sponsorship is known as "Sunny Family Ambassador" in which the sponsorship is devoted to the house(s) of the children. Sponsor will be invited to join the House activities organised by the Kuk and will have opportunities to meet the children.
Sponsorship Commitment:
The minimum term of sponsorship is one year for each child. All donations for the sponsorship programme will be dedicated exclusively towards the welfare of children and families.
Child Sponsorship -
HK $1,200 per annum per child.
House Sponsorship -
Individual Sponsorship: HK$1,200 per annum per House; Family Sponsorship (max. 4 members): HK$1,800 per annum per House;
Group Sponsorship (max. 10 members): HK$5,000 per annum per House.

Po Leung Kuk Child Sponsorship Programme has made a difference to numerous children since it was launched in 1961. In the past decade, more than 52,000 service recipients benefited from the Scheme.
Our Work:
We provide a 24-hour residential service to the children who cannot receive adequate care from their families arising from various family problems. Our services provide comprehensive daily caring include arrangements in education, medical, counseling as well as recreational and developmental activities. To achieve an all-round service, we set up individual work plans appropriate to the need of each child in addition to regular reviews and close parental work.
Our objectives:
To enable our children fostering a healthy development both physically and mentally, as well as maintaining their relationship with their family. Our ultimate objective is to help them reunite with their family and the community.
