In line with the development of information technology, the Kuk
has systematically categorized and stored its records through an
electronic filing system. A touch-screen computer has been installed
in the Exhibition Hall for visitors to access the history of the
Kuk and the kinds of services it provides. In order to further promote
the work and services of the Museum and to establish a broader network
with the outside world, a specially designed home page has been
put on the internet.
Furthermore, we have been conducting a thorough study of the history
of the Kuk. In order to preserve our records properly, much effort
has been made in conservation works such as periodic fumigation,
repairing worn-out paper, book binding, and strict regulation of
humidity, temperature and lighting. We are also planning to photograph
our records on microfilms for better preservation and convenience
sake.
The Po Leung Kuk Museum is situated at the Main Building of the
Kuk's Headquarters at 66 Leighton Road. Admission to the Museum
is free. Besides public visits, scholars and students, local or
overseas are welcome to consult our records for research studies.
Quite a number of scholars and post-graduate students from our local
universities and those in China, U.S., Japan, and Austria have visited
our Museum.
